Please pray for the repose of the soul of Mr. Richard (Dick) O’Hara.

For more than 5 decades, Richard O’Hara has shared his time, talent and resources to further the mission of Our Lady of Mercy Academy and it’s students. A staunch supporter of Catholic education, he and his wife, Dolores, were delighted when their four daughters (and four granddaughters) chose to attend OLMA. Dick’s family has had close relationships to the Sisters of Mercy and to OLMA since the early 1970’s.

Dick and Dolores were instrumental in most of OLMA’s fundraising efforts, in particular the Capital Campaign that culminated in building Kieran Hall.

In the 1990’s they established the O’Hara Student Aid Fund, providing financial assistance to Mercy families in times of emergency. Dick also chaired the Vision to Action committee, which served in an advisory capacity to the Office of Mission Effectiveness.
